I understand that I am sixty years old and will not be able to maintain the level of activity that I’d like to forever. But I plan to do it for as long as I can.
God has a way of reminding me on occasion that He is the one in charge; not me.
I have been battling a pretty good bout of bronchitis this past week. Although, I am absolutely on the mend as severe bouts of coughing diminish daily, I still struggle for breath. Walking around the property to do chores this week was, well, a chore. I stopped frequently, leaning on any nearby something that was sturdy to catch my breath before getting back to the task at hand.
Animals don’t care whether you can breath or not. It’s time to eat!
For a few days, resting was about all I did when not doing chores. I even managed to get out of cooking dinner for three nights. That meant that all other work didn’t happen either, including video editing, podcasting and the ever-present bathroom remodel.
I will say that it was really nice not to have to drive Kinzie and her friends around all week because Kinzie now has her own drivers license. This has worked out for both of us. I get to stay home and she gets to drive, a lot more than she did in the past. At first, I was concerned this would cause some sort of conflict between us, though I didn’t have a clue as to what it would be. I was really wrong about that and I am very grateful. That may change, but so far, Kinzie has been very helpful, punctual, safe and agreeable.
In fact, one time, we were trying to determine logistics of travel for the day and she enthusiastically agreed to whatever I suggested. I grinned and mentioned her absolute cooperation. “I don’t want to mess this up, Grandma! I love having my own car!”
I did manage to get one video edited and published. See it here.
I am definitely on the mend have lots of stuff to get done this week.
I also managed to get a few seeds started, though I realize I am way behind already.
It also appears that I have another big task in front of me this week as I have been caught off guard with a surprise. I’ll fill you in on that next week.
It’s good to be back at it and I look forward to posting regularly again. See you next week!
